I am a Roycroft Artisan in Painting. I work in oils and gouache. For more than 50 years I have been creating things. At the age of 12, I won second place in the New York State Conservation Poster Contest. While preparing for my career as an educator of individuals with disabilities, I enrolled in Graduate Fine Art classes in painting, printmaking and sculpture.

Everything I am, I have and have done I owe all to my Lord Jesus Christ. My favorite verse in the bible is Galatians 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” The first sentence in Genesis 1:1 says,” In the beginning God created the heaven and earth. In Genesis 1:26: “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:…I am so awed that I am able to partake in creating artwork for God’s glory.

My images are created from personal local, national and international travel experiences. My art is a way to communicate things that I feel are relevant and important in my life. I want my artwork  to be my other voice. The majority of my images involve landscapes, seascapes, natural settings and other subject matter that inspires me. There is no lack of beauty in the world around us. I love to capture those special moments and share them with as many people as possible.

I have held solo exhibits and have had rotating displays while a member of the Grand Island Art Society. I currently have my work on display at several locations in town. I have collected several awards over the years in various mediums I have worked with. I was a member as well as past President and Vice President of the Grand Island Art Society.  I am excited about what creations are in the future for me and look forward to sharing them with you. Please enjoy.
